About SXSW

South by Southwest (or SXSW) is one of the most hip, quirky, complex and fun conferences/festivals to check out. Located in the wonderful Austin, Texas, SXSW draws in thousands of people each spring from around the world to partake in the latest flicks (Film), hottest and soon to be hottest bands (Music) and newest high tech (Interactive) scenes.

SXSW Music is one of the largest musical festivals in the U.S. bringing in over 2,000 artists to over 100 venues. Literally, everywhere you turn a coffee shop, gas station, church, hair salon, park, etc will convert into a “music venue” in addition to the 90 or so more practical music halls around town. You cannot avoid the beats in this vibrant city! You will leave Austin with a fresh sampling of music for your ipod.

Sixth Street during SXSW

SXSW Film draws in some of the top talent in the industry. Producers, directors, actors, you name it. Its focus is also on drawing new talent and opening up several Q & A sessions with big names from TV and film.

SXSW Interactive is the launching pad for the next big crazy that the general public will all become quickly consumed with, such as Twitter, Skype, Kayak, etc. Its focus is on emerging technology and events are packed with entrepreneurial minds, just oozing with creative ideas and products to share.
