The Ammer tent is one of the smallest with capacity at less than 1,000 people (450 seats inside and 470 outside).  The owner, Josef Schmidbauer, keeps his family’s tradition alive with the oldest Chicken and Duck Roastery of the World.  His great-great grandfather, Josef Ammer, started roasting the savory chicken more than five generations ago. 

Festival goers seem to enjoy the Ammer family’s recipe for their popular poultry—this tent has been around for over 120 years!  Wash the crispy chicken down with some Augustiner beer and “prost” your neighbors while dancing to the Blue Moon band.
