Sambodromo

The Sambodromo is where the magic of Rio comes out to life! It is the stadium/venue where the Samba Parade takes place, but this is no ordinary stadium. The Sambodromo stretches for over half a mile with concrete bleachers on both sides of the street where the Samba Schools do their parade. Being such a large venue, the Sambodromo is divided into different sectors. The sectors in the middle are the most coveted and most difficult tickets to get for the parade. THIS IS WHERE YOU WILL BE WITH YOUR LUDUS GROUP! We want you to experience Carnaval at its best, and the views that are offered in this sector are unmatchable.

Your experience Ludus guide will be with you and the other members of your group will be you and the other members of your group to make sure you get the best seat possible for you to enjoy the show. Watching the Parade from a higher position will give you a better view of the overall parade and moving closer will make you appreciate better the costume details and the paraders' performance and samba. However, the atmosphere is contagious and most people simply stand up, cheer and dance. Here, being so close to and together with thousands of Brazilians, you will really experience what Carnaval actually means to them.

HOW TO ARRIVE AT THE SAMBODROMO
We offer you two different ways.

1) Shuttle: Ludus Tours will provide transportation from the hotel to the Sambodromo and you can take it at any time during the night. It will drop you off closest to your sector. This is better than taking a bus or a taxi because they are not allowed to get into the Sambodromo during parade nights. When you are done watching the parade, simply get back on the next shuttle and it will bring you back safely to your hotel.

2) Walking: For those who want to embrace the energy and enthusiasm in the air on the streets of Rio, walking is a great opportunity to interact with the culture as thousands of people start marching towards the Sambodromo. With 2 million people visiting Rio for Carnaval parade, and the Sambodromo only holding 90,000 people, it is not surprising that tens of thousands of people are unable to get inside. Lucky for you, you will not only be inside the Sambodromo, but you will be in the BEST sector of it.
