Riley creates and executes social media campaigns, creates marketing materials, manages the US Speedskating account and assists in the daily maintenance of all web products.
Riley joined the Ludus Tours marketing team in 2011. After working in advertising following a stint at the U.S. Olympic Committee, Riley's love of sports brought her back to the marketing world and to Ludus.
A native of Indianapolis, IN, Riley earned both her B.A. and M.A. from Ball State University in Muncie, IN. After graduation, her position with the U.S. Olympic Committee's Digital Media department brought her out to Colorado Springs. While with the USOC, she learned the ins and outs of social media and digital marketing and dove into the world of Olympic and Pan-American sports. After a year of working in advertising, Riley heard about Ludus and made the drive halfway across the country to join the Ludus team for good. Despite a background in short track speedskating, Riley was eager to trade the cold winters of Indiana and Colorado for the sunny beaches of San Diego.
Riley is no stranger to travel, having visited over fifteen different countries. While in college, she studied abroad twice: in several locations around the United Kingdom, and for several months in Paris, France. Her time in the UK included several weeks in London, which only served to increase her excitement about the 2012 Olympic Games. While in France, she picked up a new appreciation for food while visiting the boulangeries and patisseries around Paris. She brought this back to the US with her, and enjoys baking all kinds of interesting creations for friends, family and coworkers.
When Riley isn't busy whipping up some cupcakes, you can probably find her with a camera in hand. Riley has served as an official photographer for a variety of sporting events, including a World Cup event for modern pentathlon and several national championship events. In the rest of her free time, you can find her riding her bike around Balboa Park, reading up on politics or catching a concert around town.
