Karen serves as the Account Manager for all aquatic sports. Having been a Division I collegiate diver, Karen enjoys the excitement and precision of swimming, diving, water polo and synchronized swimming.
Karen joined Ludus in the fall of 2011 from the world of National Governing Bodies in Colorado Springs. Her most recent position was serving as the International Programs Manager for the USA Fencing. En guarde!
A Kentucky native with no southern accent whatsoever, Karen received her BBA in Marketing from the College of William and Mary (Go Tribe!) and her MEd in Sports Administration from Xavier University (Go Muskies!). Upon graduating, Karen began her career in the sports industry with positions at the Eastern College Athletic Conference, Greater Cincinnati Sports Corporation and consulting for various sports events hosted in the Greater Cincinnati area. She moved out to Colorado to work in events and international programs and enjoyed the snowboarding, hiking and all other outdoor activities. She's looking forward to taking in all that San Diego has to offer.
Karen's likes include: being outside (especially in good weather), her family (47 first cousins!), her two cats, reading, sushi, Middle Eastern food, doing handstands in random places, going to any sporting event, Kentucky, Colorado, snowboarding, hiking and more.
Karen's dislikes include: rudeness, bleu cheese and mangoes (by themselves and together), pessimism, injuries, rain delays, traffic, taking her shoes off at airport security checkpoints, goodbyes, sleeping less than 7 hours per night and others.
